I'm super stoked that you moved so quickly to develop a logo, both are quite creative. I'm not sure I like the yellow star, I really like the lake behind it, I like the blue coloring of the second logo too.
Your mission statement is quite good, short and to the point. Thanks for all the enthusiastic work Dave!
